Its nice to see what you have to say about the 'emasculate' and 'sissy' men.I remember coming across a discussion on the then youth iconic social networking website,Orkut, where a homosexual man was not happy with the Pride Parade in India, right after the Delhi High Court struck down article 377. He objected to effeminate homosexuals and drag queens. At that time I might have thought 'perhaps' (notice I said Perhaps) he might be right. At first we are giving them our image as sissies and then complaining the media portrayal of ourselves as sissies and effeminate.

But every time I reason out I tend to accept our sissy and effeminate brothers and masculine sisters more and more. They are the best of our community.Of course they are not the 'only' face of our Queer community, but also the masculine men and feminine women, whom we ought to portray equally. But the effeminate men and masculine women do much more than just be sissy or butch, respectively. They DEFY the socially constructed gender roles. That of course again turns around as another win for our feminist sisters. But of all the people women shock me when they disregard homosexuality as sin/unnatural etc. Not all,and generally women have been way way way more tolerant than men.But whenever I come across the openly homophobic ones,I am shocked, because these same women we support and their liberation too. However I have also noticed that all these women,in my experience, are also anti-feminism.They deem full knowledge of body as abominable and madonna,or even taking your heroine Elle, as hags and harlots serving themselves to men.

But then again, have you ever wondered what would have happened if MEN would have been constantly subdued and oppressed as we today oppress and subdue women and if WOMEN would have been all powerful and declared male nudity and promiscuity as outrageous? Then would it have been outrageous of me to take of my shirt in public? And also,am 'I' or any other man, especially the brad pitts, not serving the fantasy of women? Do you really imagine only men get turned on by bikini babes and that women dont get turned by muscles? Then why not right and article against men taking their shirts off in public?

If a man wear his underpants and dance around a pole, its fun and all that. But if a woman does that, she's a hag and not a respectable woman? I find that strange.Where you say that Elle is serving the desires and fantasies of men,or something like that,I smell such an undertone.
